• The Norton AntiVirus Virus Definition files are only compatible with versions of Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh 6.0 and higher. This includes English, International Engish, German, French, Swedish and Japanese versions. For users of NAV 5.0.x, there are separate definition files available from Symantec's FTP site. We highly recommend that any versions of Symantec AntiVirus for Macintosh (SAM) or Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh 5.0 be upgraded to Norton AntiVirus 6.0. The upgrade to version 6.0 is available from our Customer Service department (800-441-7234) and any authorized Symantec Software Resellers.
